How do updates work?

NoMail updates itself in-app: it checks for new releases on launch and every six hours, downloads in the background, and installs when you quit. What changed is always on the changelog.

Which email providers are supported?

Gmail (personal and Google Workspace), Microsoft (Outlook.com and Hotmail), Fastmail and other JMAP servers, and iCloud or any generic IMAP server.

Why is there no on-device AI on Intel Macs?

The bundled local model ships as an Apple Silicon binary only. On Intel, everything else works — and you can still opt into an external AI provider with your own API key, or run without AI entirely.

Where is my data stored?

On your Mac, and nowhere else: mail lives in a local SQLite database, and NoMail has no backend your mail passes through. The privacy policy has the full picture.

Google shows an “unverified app” warning when I sign in — is that expected?

Yes, for now. NoMail talks directly to Gmail with credentials you grant it; while Google’s verification of the app is still in progress, the consent screen shows that warning. Your mail still goes only between your Mac and Google.
